On the free tier you bring your own model key, so inference bills to your provider account. On paid, keys are managed and tokens are itemised on your invoice.

What counts as a conversation?
A conversation is a session with your chatbot, however many messages are in it. On paid plans billing is per run — one complete task, including its tool calls and retrieval — which is the same unit used across the rest of the platform.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
The widget stops responding until the month resets or you add a card. Your bot, its configuration and its history stay exactly as they are — nothing is deleted and nothing is silently billed.
Do I need my own model API key?
Pending — GTWY-813. As written above: yes on free, no on paid. Not final.
Can I remove GTWY branding?
On paid plans, yes — no badge, no “powered by,” and on enterprise the widget is served from your own domain.
Can I set a spend cap?
Yes. Set a monthly ceiling and an alert threshold; the widget pauses at the cap rather than running past it.
